Viking Appliance Error Codes
Source-backed Viking oven fault messages and F-codes from manufacturer documentation. Each entry cites its source and notes when decode varies by model.
We only publish error codes that are documented in Viking use & care manuals or Viking service literature. If your code is not listed, record your model number and contact us — do not rely on unverified third-party code lists.

How to use this error-code database
Start by searching the code shown on your appliance’s display, then open the matching guide for your appliance type. Each guide explains the likely meaning in plain language, lists common symptoms and causes, and shows safe checks you can make yourself.
Why meanings can differ by model
Viking reuses the same codes across many appliances and generations, so an “E” code on a dishwasher may not mean the same thing on a washer or oven. Use the appliance filter to find the guide that matches your machine.
Where to find your model number
The full model number is usually on a rating label — inside the door frame, around the opening, or on a side panel. Recording it helps a technician interpret the code correctly and bring the right parts.
When to stop troubleshooting
Stop immediately and contact a professional if you notice smoke, a burning smell, gas odor, sparks, or water near electrical parts. Never work on live electrical systems, gas connections, or sealed refrigerant systems.
When to request repair service
If a code returns after the safe checks, or the appliance will not operate normally, book a diagnosis. A technician can confirm the fault on your specific model and resolve it safely.
